    I like the animated Knots thing too. I learned to tie two basic knots from Hennessy Hammocks how-to videos. The lashing,and a variation of that prussik sliding knot. My other favorite is the butterfly knot, because you can put it in the middle of a line without pulling a bunch of line through, great for guy lines. Same with the clove hitch, really easy to make in the middle of the line without pulling the rest of the line through...I use for bear bagging with the PCT hang.
