I believe HB once called it hiker porn. Anypne have a similar experience as you became more knowledgeable?
I feel the same way. I read an article now & then online, but haven't bought the mag in years.

You don't need to outrun a bear. You just need to be able to outrun your hiking partner.

It will never sell. Why pay $15 to be called a dummy when you can go on WB and get called that for free within five minutes of posting your first question.
Yep - I can attest to that

That's why if you must have a gun, the smallest possible will suffice.
You just need to kneecap the person nearest you.

Funny, if you have a sense of humor. Not funny if you are stuck on your stool.
Gun is too heavy. I will just outrun my partner.

Who was it that asked me if they should be reading my posts or signatures? It is obvious that few are reading my signature. No one has offered an opinion yet. Going out to try to clear the latest white mess in my driveway.

I was thinking the same thing last night, but they're in business to make $$ so they cater to those that advertise with them, would be nice if they would also review the mom/pop industries that so many distance hikers support. Since they stopped putting the big gear listing in an annual issue and started selling it separately I wont renew, that was the main reason I subscribed.

She does not verify it, but is fully aware of it.

Poor Daniel. His hike may not turn out so good.

    Sarcasm alert:

Where is the gray cat! Do you have something against us gray people? Oh sure. We can be different as long as we are not gray. Storm! Get in here. We are being abused. Us gray people need embracing too you know.

Check to see if your closets are empty and there are boxes in the garage labeled "Goodwill".

Closets are not empty, but there are boxes in the garage labeled "Goodwill". The confusing thing is that I put them there. Am I trying to get rid of myself?

Hi kids! Just a quick check in from Dubai. Got here a few hours ago. Checked in to my hotel, took a shower, found food & beer, then bought some innerwebz time. Sleep before too long.

I hope all is well with everyone here.
