We're looking at this same hike in September. Are you going to go straight through or will you be planning a resupply along the way? Also how are you going to access Mt Springer? I'm in the process of planning our trip and would appreciate any ideas you've gathered. We did the 69 miles from Partnership Shelter to Damascus VA last month. I really enjoyed the AT and bet you will two, Randy

Next weekend in the Catskills - most likely Rusk, Hunter and Leavitt. Does that count as a real hike?

No plans to use the chairlift, although I might hike out to Colonel's Chair and shock the tourists.

Wasn't sure Rusk and Leavitt count as real hiking, since it's not white-blazing or blue-blazing. In fact, it's kinda no-blazing, since those two don't have marked trails. How can you be a Real Hiker without passing every single blaze on a marked trail?

No Blazing is +4 on the "Real Hiker Scale"
