I was hoping for more pictures triumphs as well. Didn't expect to see someone complaining about why people want to share about of the AT on a forum ABOUT THE AT.
Best of luck, fireneck!

Trying to figure this one out... You are worried about people putting your pics down, yet you were pretty quick to rain on the OP's parade. Doesn't make much sense to me. If you want people to treat you with respect, shouldn't you treat others with respect?
I come here to learn more about all the advances in gear, the AT, listen to what other hikers have to say, learn new things, AND see awesome photos of places I would love to visit.
I think this is the perfect place to post pics of accomplishments! HYOH... If posting pics is not for you, then don't do it. However, others shouldn't be put down for being excited about their accomplishments.
Not trying to start something. Just stating my opinion.
Google "at trail end summit katahdin"
lots of great photos including the semi-famous "journey's end"
Pretty much the reason I joined this forum to learn, view journals, oh and of course photo's.
Be sure to check my little blog as well. Lot's and lot's of photo's I love bragging and showing off to people.
...and people wonder why there are a lot of people so turned off by WB.
Thanks to those who posted their summit photos.
