Default Camping a mile south of Tanyard Gap

Is the site recognizeable? The Data Book has had phantom 'campsites' marked that I only realized where they were when I ended up at the shelter 5 miles past where we should have stopped for the night.

Not really recognizable as campsites. You can find a place to pitch a tent, but it's not great, especially since people drive back in there with cars. I camped there once a long time ago, but wouldn't do it again.
    If not NOW, then WHEN?

Yep... much better camping and a nice spring right on the trail a little further north on Rich Mountain. Plus you can start your day with a downhill first thing rather than an up.
