    Default Weather Sealed Pentax K-30

    A new Pentax DSLR has been announced. For those of you who are more committed to/interested in photography this camera is just about a hiker's dream.

    ThisHas similar features and price, a bit lighter. Photographers at this price point will all have their favorites.

    True, the OM-D is a great choice too, being a mirrorless "4/3" camera and hence ~200g lighter, significantly smaller, having in-camera panorama stitching, having a flip-out screen, and also having weather sealing. Probably the best mirrorless choice in fact. Just thought the k-30 would be worth some discussion since it was just announced. Was also pointing out the power issue for weeks of backpacking ceases to exist with the AA battery option, while the om-d is run on rechargeables and is further drained by the electronic viewfinder. K-30 has some other advantages too despite the bulk, and is a few hundred cheaper.
