2013 Thru-Hike Registry

Hi Alyssa - Nice to hear that at least one fellow Philadelphian is planning to thru hike the AT this year! I plan to take Amtrak from 30th Street Station down to Gainesville, GA some time in the 2nd week of March. The train arrives in Gainesville at 7am, and I am just going to cab it to the park and start on the approach trail that morning. Drop me a line if you want to try to sync up on the start date. I just resigned from my job at the Comcast Center. A successful thru hike may be the only way for me to stop dwelling on how much I miss my free cable and internet. My longest backpacking trip to this pont has been 6dyas/5nights in Yosemite backcountry, so this will be an adventure for me.

Wife and I plan to Start April 14th. We have been planning for three years. Have done two 100 milers and I did 50 myself this past year. I just had another stent added to my arteries for number six and Brenda had both knees operated on to be able to accompany me on the trail. We are so looking for it. Brenda trail name? Trip - cause she stumbles thru the day. Me - Well JustDale should do it cause I am Just Dale. We plan to walk to Tn and fast forward sections we have completed and then come back south to complete the ones we skipped so we can do it all in 2013!!
