    Default Thru-hike playlist

I am leaning towards not bringing an mp3 player with me, however if I decide to bring one or have one sent to me later on in my hike I wanted to have a playlist set up. Here's what I have already set up and I'm looking for suggestions on similar artists/songs/genre. Most of these songs I've come across have been from other thru-hikers and just put me in the mood to hike.

    Guaranteed - Eddie Vedder
    Society - Eddie Vedder
Cosmic Love - Florence + The Machine
Shake It Out - Florence + The Machine
Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine
Worn Out Shoes - Joe Purdy
    Cold Feet - Tracy Chapman
Wagon Wheel - Old Crow Medicine Show
    - Life is Good -

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
May you live all the days of your life. - Jonathan Swift

Just part of my hiking listening, though I've never been a thru hiker. Most of these are nothing like the songs you have listed, but I find that having a high energy song on up a tough hill or at the end of the day really helps me stay moving.

    Hill Songs
    My Body- Young the Giant
Do What You Want - OK Go
Here it Goes Again - OK Go
Get Over It - OK Go
I Hate Everything About You - Three Days Grace (for those really hard hills)
    Falling On - Finger Eleven

    Other
Dare You To Move - Switchfoot
Times Like These - Foo Fighters
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
Take Me Home, Country Roads - John Denver

    Great choices!
I am in love with the entire "O Brother, Where Art Thou" soundtrack for hiking. Even the sad songs are upbeat. Unfortunately, I can only harmonize in my imagination so I keep the singing there, as well.

    Default Here's a thru-hike worthy playlist.

I plan to listen to this over the course of my "triple crown." The list will likely be at 10,000 songs by then.
