Flying into Atlanta on the 10th, staying at Hiker Hostel with 2009 thru-hiker Mr. Right... he is going to hike from Springer to Hiawassee with me for moral support. We are starting out on the 11th, but I am sure we will cross paths. Looking forward to meeting y'all!

I had planned to arrive on 3/11 and start on 3/12 but decided to start when I get there on 3/11 and do the 4.3 miles to Three Forks to facilitate hiking past the bear canister area.

That depends if I am dragging ass on the approach or not. I plan to start the 11th.

I think the bear canister area is between Jarrard Gap and Neel Gap (miles 26-32). Did they make the bear zone bigger?
