I'll be doing my next thru post '12 so, it can't end - no one should worry - I have officially delayed it - but global warming and climate change might allow me to do a winter 2015 thru hike in shorts and a t-shirt - not kidding so much.

I'm with ya Freedom Walker. Retired a couple of years ago and having to work part-time to get my son thru college. Doing a thru hike has always been a dream of mine. Well at this rate I will be 60 (3.5 more years) and will finally be able to attempt my dream. Oh Well ! Will just have to keep on training, hiking and dreaming. See ya on the trail.
Archaeologists always say this stuff is ceremonial or religious if they don't know what it means. I say cave paintings are graffitti that really say things like "Running deer wears army boots" or "for a good time use Axotl brands condoms" The Mayan disk calendar is a decorator item commissioned by the kings wife who needed a 3' round calendar for the foyer. Everything not current is merely filler to make up the wheel. The world has been predicted to end at least 3 times in my lifetime I recommend fishing instead of worry.
