Have a catalyst, which I really like, but looking at the CDT for a day pack, probably will carry 15-18 lbs. Looking for info

The CDT pack is frameless and uses your sleepig pad to give it some support and padding against your back. If you want to use it as a day pack, cut a peice of a cheap or old foam pad and put it in the internal sleave. If you start to load it with heavier weight, it carries better the fuller the pack is so use the compression straps and pack it carefully. If packed correctly, you can comfortably carry into the mid or high 20 lbs without any trouble. If it doesn't seem comfortable to you. Try repacking it differently.
