    Default Working on new homepage

I would like some input here on the new homepage that I have been working on.
I am working on trying to get the random images back on the homepage.
I have a test homepage that I am working on. I need to know, if I put four random images up for display is this going to make the homepage to big so that it will not all fit on the screen? I know some users are using different display setting on there monitors.

Here is the sample homepage. Can everyone see all four random thumbnails without the screen going off monitor?

I could see all 4 images without having to scroll down... it appears though that there is room enough for 6? Personally, I prefer the look of just the 3 at a time that you used to have up. Appreciate all you do attroll.

I like it. It gives you some flexibility and does not crowd the page. I would not do anymore than 4 photos. You might also do something like Google Picasa has where it rotates through pictures within an album.

I can see all four images and I'm looking at the page on an iPad.

looks good on my laptop but it sets up nicer on my android thunderbolt smartphone. on the laptop i get a block of the 4 images and on the android it sets up one above the other in a 4 image line...only thing i didnt notice was the indivdual icon that everyone uses , it is usually on top left of the page...all in all it looks good........

I see all 4 images on Safari and Firefox at my standard 1440x900 resolution. If I drop down to 1280x800 then I can see all of the photos but i have to scroll to see the description of the bottom photo. I think I'd prefer 6 photos also.

I'm pleased that your bringing back photos on the home page. I had to scroll down a bit to see the 4th. Also, the recently-updated posts on the right side are a little harder to read because of the font size but all-in-all, everything looks good.

I have zoom turned on the laptop - its fine for four pics and awkward for the few that photos that are sideways -

a strange note the light green font for "posted by" is so light you have to look twice.

The pics are fine, but what I really like is that the recent thread titles are longer. Thanks for all the work.

This page actually fits my browser better than the current one. I do have to scroll down to see all of the bottom 2 images, but I would do that anyway to look at the recent threads.

    IE8 and Windows XP.

For those that say they have to scroll down, could one or two of you please provide a screen shot so I can see what you are talking about.

Using a laptop and IE7, I'm seeing two rows of images with three in the first row and one centered in the second. I'd prefer to see fewer images larger, but six small would work, too. I'd like to suggest moving most of the trail updates section not take up so much space. Could you possibly run the first few, and then link to a "more..." page. That way you could put other thing front and center, such as links to specific forums. And also, while you are updating, could you please change "todays posts" to "today's posts" in the top nav?

I too appreciate all the effort you put into this site, attroll. In addition to running the tech side, you're faced with herding cats (that's us, the members).
