    Default Dover Oak

While hiking this summer, my son and I passed the Dover Oak near Pawling N.Y. We picked some leaves off the ground to include in the leaf collection we knew he would be doing for school this year. We have several types of oak leaves for the collection, but now are not sure which ones came from this particular tree. Anyone know exactly what type of oak the tree is? Thanks for your help.

The ATC guide says it's a white oak. Hope this helps.

    Default Thanks

Awsome! We have leaves that are white oak. The shape of the tree also matches pictures of the Dover Oak. We will assume those are the leaves we picked up from the trail. Thanks for your help.
