A couple of years while hiking with some friends we traveled twenty three miles (near Grayson Highlands). The day before I ran into a thru hiker who did 31. What is the most you've hiked in one day?

My longest and perhaps most grueling hike was when I was on a cross country bike trip with Toe (we were both in college about 23 years old), I ran into the Grand Canyon flew the bike accroos and walked from the South Rim to the North Rim, not sure of the milage but I sure remember the hike.

33 into Katahdin Stream Campground to finish my thru-hike the next day since the weather was looking not so great for the days afterwards. Totally worth it and easy terrain to do so. Only other 30+ the whole trip was a 32 out of Kincora.

Probably around 15 miles and that was enough for me.
32 miles for me, with a 30 miler just a few days before. Way more than I really enjoyed doing... I like to max out at 20, or 25 in easier terrain. At least when I'm in thru-hiking shape. Nowadays I think 15 is my upper comfort limit... stupid desk job.
Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.
40 miles, full pack in just under 12 hours. watauga lake to damascus
Maybe 18 miles one day w/a full pack...not by choice. Guess I'm just a wuss..
