When they came out with the new colors they hurt my eyes so much I went online and found a Firefox add-on called Stylish. The add-on lets you apply your own stylesheets to websites. I created one for Whiteblaze. If you want to go that route, just install the Stylish add-on, then go to the Stylish userstyles website and install my stylesheet (search for "whiteblaze" in the search box on userstyles.org).

Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.
I hiked the PCT: Mexico to Mt. Shasta, 2008. Santa Barbara to Canada, 2009.
That is a nice plugin. Thanks for the info!
I will work on creating a color scheme that will be easy on the eyes.
I threw this style/color scheme together quickly. Will this work?
To change the color scheme go to the bottom of the page, in the far bottom left corner and click on the drop down box.
Here is the old color scheme

Better for "my" eyes.

it just happened again - it posted my post twice for some reason, and my post was at least 10-12 lines long listing a whole bunch of problems but also how much we all appreciate you. anyways - i am not going to repost but look at the image above - the format for lots of things is way off for me. i cant read posts (see above). i cant change my computer in any manner bc it is a work computer and i have no priveleges
I just fixed the whites so they are not so eye blinding. I don't dare go any darker. I hope this helps.
I am not sue why your having these alignment issue. No one else has pointed this issue out yet. I see you have McAffe running, I don't know if McAfee would cause this issue.
Thanks for toning down the color scheme. It's much easier on the eyes.
YYYEEESSS!!! Mucho Bettero!

After the upgrade, I usually have to scroll to the right on the home page to see the recently posted threads. Unfortunately, it's not always - which makes troubleshooting much more difficult. I'm using IE8 on a 15 inch monitor - same as before the upgrade.
And I agree - I like the toned down color scheme much better. Thank you!

They're there - I just have to scroll way over to see them - sometimes. Other times I can see them without scrolling.
I like the new scheme.. Thanks Rick!!

Sorry, don't wanna whine...... but can I have the OLD WB back???? PLEASE?
The old format had nearly zero issues on the user end IMO..... unfortunately the new format has too many.
Overlapping text, more difficult format to follow, color scheme seems too "bold", slower to load, slower to search, harder to navigate..... just to mention a few.
I still appreciate all the experience shared by the posters, and also appreciate the hard work being done in the running of the site, but the "NEW WB" just isn't as enjoyable as the old........ in fact I find that I rarely visit anymore specifically due to the changes and i used to practically live here before.
Sorry for venting (whining)

I created a new style that is only a temporary style and it will not stay up for use. I need some of those having the Overlapping text issue to try it out to see if this style resolves the problems your having with Overlapping text.
To try this style; go to the very bottom left of your browser window and in the drop down box choose "Temporary Style for testing".
Please let me know if this makes any difference to those having problems.
