    Default Trail Info Needed

I am staying in Waynesville North Carolina with some family and was thinking about trying to hit the trail for a few nights. It looks like I40 runs right into the trail just south of Max Patch. I want to head north for a few nights. Any trail info of this area would be great! Like where exactly can I pick up the trail. Good places to camp. How is the water source this time of year. Typical weather this time of year. I was thinking about leaving my down bag home and only using my liner. Thank you!

The trail hits the Waterville School exit just inside Tennessee.

You may want to call Curtis at Standing Bear Farm for any updated info on water. The area can be low during the summer time.

Temps will be hot and muggy.

Good chance of seeing a bear during this time.
