    Default Image testing

I am using this thread to find out limits on what and how many images I can post from a third party site. I know I can post a single image using the "Image Code" directly pasted onto the page, but I cannot use the insert image link at all. Before, there was a limit of 25 images per post. It seems there may be fewer allowed now before the post is messed up. I intend to start with a small number of images and move upward to see where the limit lies.

    Test 1 - 3 images

If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!

Good. Once more to see if 2 is the limit.

OK. It seems like I can post the pictures in the quick reply box, but not the original post...

Let's try with a large number of pics.

So I can post up to 25 pics in the Quick Reply box. Now let's try a few with the regular reply box.

Fascinating. Only the quick reply box allows an image to post from an image code from a third party site. Any other box, an initial post, a reply with previous quote, etc, blanks out the images. Well, at least I think I have a workaround to the image problem until something gets fixed in the software.

    Bearpaw?

I can't see _any_ of the images; they all show up as broken links.

I can see them on most of the posts, there are a couple of them that say that the image has been removed or deleted. Not sure if those are the times that you tried as a regular post.

1, 9 & 10 are the posts where I did not use quick reply. I get the images error messages on them as well.

Farr Away, I don't know what to tell you. There are still a lot of bugs to work out with this upgrade. Hopefully they will get better in time.

I was finally able to post my trip report from this trip with pics by cutting and pasting directly into the quick reply box. Farr Away, are you able to see images in the last 5 or so posts of this report?

I've been doing that. The only time the image actually appears after submission is through quick reply. Every other submission shows an error message.

Nope, I still can't see any of them. (IE8: don't know if that's the difference. I'll check with Chrome later on.)

Okay, with Chrome (and on a different network), I can see the same ones as everyone else. Not sure if it's the browser or network.

Same network; IE8, and I can see the same pics. So it's either the network, or something has been 'fixed', lol.
