    Default A Wal-Mart Thru Hike

Got everything I need from Wal-Mart for my thru:
    School Back Pack
    Wrangler jeans
    Coleman two burner stove
    Hiking poles
    9mm pistol and 1000 rounds
    Cast iron fry pan
    Great Value side meals
    flannel sleeping bag

They even gave away puppies by the front door, so I'm gonna hike with a dog.

You would be glad to know I got one of those big wildlife books so I can commune with nature.

No! No! No! You forgot the gallon of Coleman fuel. Are you carrying the 1000 rounds in a bandoleer? Do you think 1000 will be enough? It's a long way, you know.

I think they have recycle bins in the shelters. They are called fire pits and the recyclers pick them up on a regular basis.

You may be OK then. What about a globe for directions? I'll bet you didn't even think about that. That's the trouble with all you young people. You go off half cocked.

The only thing on your list that might not have been on top of Springer, at one time or another, is probably the 1,000 rounds.
    Backpacking light, feels so right.

I forgot to mention the Rand McNally road map. It even has all the Wal-Marts listed along the route for resupply.

Good for you! Georgia's a long drive from Michigan, but it sounds like you're prepared to give it a go.

    About time you went hiking.
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.

This is the first time I have actually laughed out loud on WB. Nothing wrong with a good sense of humor. Can't stand a man who takes himself too seriously.
