Certainly makes you feel heaps better.
Oops meant to put www. in front of that link.

Hey gipcgirl! I was reading the register at the Allentown (Pennsylvania) shelter yesterday and saw your entry from last summer! Great to see you're tackling the trail again.

    FWIW, here's my meager journal:

I didn't get one of those fancy URLs with my name yet but that should get you there.

For those using public computer and such, how do you intend to upload photos? Are you going to bring along the chord to attach to the computer?

You could also mail your memory card back home and have someone trusted there upload your pics.

Has anyone else tried to access www.trailphone.net? They don't seem to have any recent posts, but yet the site is still up and running, just the "800" number gives you an "error" message.

I was counting on using it pretty regularly - I'm glad I didn't send a "donation"!

Just wondering if anyone has any other info about it....

Mine is at www.trailjournals.com/Kinnickinic2011. I planned to leave this past week, but medical and tax issues keep popping up. I may be walking wounded but fast with the IRS checking the registers, trying to say "Hello." Just kidding, of course, but all this has cost me time. I expect now to leave about the 24th. At least that way I can read lots of good posts in those same registers. Take care, All.--Kinnickinic

My trail blog is @ http://www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com

I would love to know the various ways in which people intend to update their blogs, I'm going to do blog updates from a cell phone as well as video uploads to YouTube. Still working out the kinks and figuring out how I'm going to keep the damn thing charged.

    One more week...

    Default My trail journal

    Hi, WhiteBlazers,

I've hiked quite a bit, but this is the first time I've kept a trail journal. I started at Springer and might make it to the northern terminus, but first I'm going to take a right in New York and attempt to walk on the set of the Colbert Report as a guest. Everyone I know says I'm nuts, even my publicist, but I'm giving it a go anyway.

    Best,

    Skid
