    Default Bluray

Bluray is here with me tonight and probably will be here for at least a couple of days. If any of you hikers know him you can PM me and I will pass on the message....

Howdy to BluRay... enjoy Damascus. Although looks like the weather is pretty much the same there and here right now.

Oops, never mind, I was thinking of a different BluRay, whom I've just spotted in person.

Well, I mean, tell him hello anyway.

    Hey!

Yes, the winter came from day to another! I had to hike fall-geared in the crasy 15F/foot of snow for 2 weeks. It was just brutal! But now it's ok. I have my winter gear.

Hey. Do you now where are the other SOBO? I'm returning to the trail (just before Mt. Rogers) today.

Should have taught TOW how make you a big bowl of poutine to stock up for the cold! That and a big cup of Tim Horton's and your good!

(husband lives in Montreal right now and I go up every few weeks - Westmount).

I met Blue Ray in the Whites on Sept 8. We had the distinguished honor of scrubbing a year's worth of filth off a wall in a AMC Hut. Nice guy, hope he's well and still enjoying the hike (and carrying that camera!)

Blueray is back and lugged in three more sobo's, Jumper, Itchy Feet, and Sissy Hankshaw along with her dog Mabel. Most thru hikers I've ever let stay but it is cold and most places are closed right now......

I can see right now that the Hikers Inn is going to be missed...

I thought a former thru-hiker (2009) bought the place and was going to keep it running? Did all that fall through? Any information on the new owner?

I stayed at the Hikers Inn when I bicycled cross country in 2008 then again when I thru hiked in 2009. Suzanne was a force to be reckoned with but the hospitality was marvelous.

Blueray, Itchy Feet & Jumper, and Sissy & her dog Mabel are all gone and what a great crew they were, darn good youngin's!

Yeah the new owners haven't hardly been there or opened.....I don't know, may take time for it to happen again....
