Political correctness is in the eye of the beholder. There's right-wing PC and left-wing PC, green PC and libertarian PC, and probably 20 different varieties. Nobody likes to admit they've got sacred cows and blind spots, some of which, sometimes, don't make a lick of sense.

Easy to see the shortcomings of someone else's version of PC, not so easy to strap on a set - to borrow a phrase - grow up, get self-critical, and see the limits of one's own.

    Default training wheels

When Ingles did the crash ‘n’ burn it was pretty clear cut. Dude screamed out the f and c words. Twice. I’m guessing he was banned for life or placed on moderated status.

‘Splain some of the finer points of White Blazing. On accounta some talented posters know how to finesse it. What qualifies for banning? Moderated status?

Also everything’s already been said on WB but occasionally someone pops up with a new take. I can usually tell by the groan of silence, but what are the most dreaded (or boring) threads/topics that repeatedly make you groan?

I've been banned from a Mwienstone thread. That's pretty pathetic.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

Reading the Terms of Service is a good way to figure out what the rules are.

Ways to get your head stepped on: Promoting illegal activities; slinging insults; baiting people over one of the hot-button issues; re-starting a discussion that has already been closed or censored on another thread.

The more of a PITA you are on a regular basis, the less rope you will be given.
    If not NOW, then WHEN?

That's rich. Many people say how right-wing biased WB is...

    Make up your mind people...

As I told a person one time who complained about me editing his porn references (I don't care personally, but when I get a mailbox full of people complaining....), if you are bothered by it that much, you need to keep this little tidbit in mind:

Of course, he whined some more when I told him that.. My buddies back East would have really come down on him like a ton of bricks. I was being nice. Bunch of thin skinned shnooks in cyberspace...

I've got everyone beat - I got a week in the hole for having a little fun buying a pair of pants on WB. Still not sure how I violated the TIS, but don't really care. I just don't spend much time here any more.
It's a great day to be alive !

That's a joke. There's one PITA on here I'd love to have an Ignore Button for. Haven't seen his rope shortened one mm yet so the above is definitely an empty statement. And while I'm at it, why don't we have an Ignore Button? Certainly would move things along.

there is an ignore function, has been there for years. i wish more people would use it, that would definitely cut down on the sniveling around here.

go to your user CP, it's pretty self-explanitory from there.

You've gone and screwed up another perfectly good thread by adding common sense and intelligence......
......We'll get you my pretty......Hahahaha... HAhahaha.....
.....Someday, like many others who joined WB in the early years, I may dry up and dissapear....
