Default Pen-Mar to Front Royal in August

Would the weather be rather hot and miserable in August around Front Royal-Pen-Mar section? I may slack pack most of this if it is possible.

Expect very hot, very humid, very miserable.
Pain is a by-product of a good time.

I did Pen-Mar to Harpers Ferry last August. Hot 95 every day. Did not even feel like I was in the mountains, felt like I was still home on the flat SC coast.

Although the weather will start to break around mid-month. July is generally hotter than August around here.

Yes and even September and early October can be miserably hot.
Miserably hot, sweaty, littlel gnats flying aorund your head all day just doesn't seem fun anymore. Give me cool weather....
.....Someday, like many others who joined WB in the early years, I may dry up and dissapear....
