    Default North Carolina A.T. birds

So here's the final thread for the South in the series of A.T. bird threads issued in conjunction with Appalachian Trail Bird Challenge 2010.

I'll have a few posts to add later today to get it off to a start before returning my attention to Tennessee A.T. birds and Virginia A.T. birds. I'm hoping for some participation from others since ATBC and these threads were meant to be a participatory activity rather than an online lecture.

    Default 3 top-10 birds?

Seems to me Northern Cardinal, Carolina Wren and Carolina Chickadee should be considered for a top 10 list of North Carolina A.T. birds.

    Default

A.T. bird thread readers may be realizing that not only do some birds cover quite a bit of terrain in a year's time, their populations and ranges have changed over time in some cases rapidly.
