Class of 2011 - How many of us so far???

Hello everyone,

My wife and I will be starting the AT March 13.

Trail names: Greenstone for myself, Thimbleberry for my wife.

We can't wait to meet our fellow 2011 hiking class on the trail.

Let's make a pact that we will all complete the trail. If anyone starts getting bummed and thinking about leaving, i'll personally find a guitar and rock some Taylor Swift... that always makes me feel better.

Well, that'll make at least two of us...lol! I'm hoping to stay at the Hiker Hostel on the 12th and head out on the 13th - nothing confirmed yet.

I'll be starting March 15th, either alone or with my ex girlfriends brother who is leaving the military as a ranger on honorable discharge. Either way, I'll be hiking it and taking the year off from college. Can't wait! Heading to Springer Mt. this weekend to hike a two nights and check out the start of the trail. I climbed Katahdin the second weekend of Sept. with my father and it was great.

Looking forward to the hike!

Getting out there when you turn 18 is a great idea - a flourishing career, a happy marriage and small children, tend to take a higher priority once you've started them! My time will come - i can't wait
