Just be aware, if you have a tattoo in a visible location, Geno Auriemma won't let you play on the UConn women's basketball team. Just sayin'.

Have also seen Maps of the AT: on either arm, chest, back, either leg.
IF, I get one, it will be the AT symbol on the back of my lower right leg for a NOBO, Left leg for a SOBO, with teh start & finish dates below. If I finish the AT by sectioning, the symbol will be divided into different colors for each state with Beginning date (3/15/1998) and finish date.
Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Actually, it does make you look artsy, and it'll give you another reason to impress people with your epic stories from your time on the edge of the known world-the AT.
Lime Green Jelly Bean I believe has one on her outside leg closer to the ankle then the knee, but several inches above the ankle and ankle sock level.

Someone told me the military will not induct anyone with tatoos in certain locations. Maybe neck, fingers, wrist...not sure. Anyone know?
no tatoo on the face or hands?
Tattoo restrictions got tighter briefly, and then were revised when recruiters started missing their goals duing the Iraq War.
Most of the current policies seem to restrict not where a tattoo is, but what it's of. Tattoos considered racist, sexist, or obscene typically aren't allowed, regardless of where they are on the body.
