Did a fun radio show with some folks that knew nothing about the Appalachian Trail. Hopefully now a few more people have an appreciation for it!

Just a word of advice for the future: refrain from saying 'um'.
Wouldn't mention it except that you said it in almost every sentence, sometimes twice in the same sentence. Kind of surprising for an attorney. but maybe you are an office attorney and not a trial attorney.

Ugh, I know. I didn't even realize I had that habit until I listened back to part of this interview. Made me cringe a little bit. But it's also forced me to pay attention to my speech more, so all in all a good learning experience. Can't improve unless you know something's wrong! Thanks for the tip, Trillium!

Again, thank you to everyone who followed along on our journey. I've always believed in the power of nature to transform. And I've always believed that film and television are the best ways to empower and inspire people to lead their best life. This project is closer to my heart than anything I've ever worked on in my life. And no matter what happens, I have no regrets ...

Isn't using student loan money to make the film illegal? I guess the lawyer would know.

They don't call me Ringleader for nothing, Furlough. Haha. But joking aside, that means a lot to me -- more than you know. When you push boundaries you're asking for criticism, and I respect that and know that it comes with the territory ... but you have been supportive of us from the very beginning and we are forever greatful. The haters provide entertainment, but you provide inspiration. And I hope you know that part of the reason this film came "to fruition" was because of people like you. So thank you.
Ha! It's a small world.... Emily is friend of a friend.... our mutual friend has yet to introduce us.

hey ringleader
what tripod and head did you use to shoot?
TV
Hey TV! Just responded to the email you had sent me -- sorry for delay. I'll reiterate here though: JVC-HMU 100, and a cheap, lightweight tripod from Target. Tripod worked great, just had to be careful on a windy day ...
Looks like they are very near to releasing the video. Link to the new trailer follows:
Congrats you guys. Let us know when this becomes commercially available. I look forward to buying and watching this journey.

I'm taking Beauty Beneath the Dirt on tour this summer from Georgia to Maine; calling it the G2M Tour. I am so excited to share it with all of the communities along the AT that helped us and countless other hikers on our hike, by sheltering us, encouraging us, maintaining the trail, etc. Shoot us a message if you want me to come to your town!! I will try my hardest to make it! [email protected]
Also, did a test-drive of the screening process last week in San Francisco. Absolutely incredible - I could not have hoped for more. People laughed, cried, applauded, gasped. I wrote a blog entry about it and some other notions here: http://www.beautybeneaththedirt.com/...eavingstaying/ More blog entries to come this summer! Trying to post one after every screening! 60 days on the road!! Woo!
