I could tell it would be a long day when Digger was on his 3rd bag of Fritos by lunch time!

the trail is approx. 2100 miles or 6300 bags of Fritos all depends on how you want to measure it.

Keep an eye out for the blazes everyone. With so much snow, the actual footpath may not be visible, so stay focused on the blazes...turn around often to see the blazes going in the other direction, also...

    Good Luck and Have Fun!!

    Any other updates?

Hope the sun melted some snow for you. At least off of the trees so that you can see the blazes....

Be careful of the blowdowns. I'm sure there are plenty.

    See you on the trail,

I dropped Shlep off near the Springer Mountain parking lot off FS 42 last weekend, I say near because I could not make it all the way. The road was in very bad shape and snow covered in spots. I imagine much of the trail is snow covered as well. Good luck to all!

Just dropped my husband off yesterday on top of Springer Mtn for his first thru hike! Keep your eyes out for a crazy country boy named Brian, help him out if you see him, and he will gladly repay the favor!! Thanks!!!

Yesterday FS 42 wasn't too bad! There were some ruts and soft spots, but I made it fine in a Honda Oddyssey van!
