    Default Warren Doyle article

There's a good article about Warren Doyle in the January Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine - not on the web yet, but in stores already.

no.their is a rm with a #23 on the door but its legal name is matthewskis rm. i posses the key year round. it was presented to me by the owners. pat and vicky of pat and vicky fame. if im on the way into the doyal late, i can call before they close and just tell them im comming. then , if vicky has rented it to other hikers, i tell her to leave keys to another rm hidden. i pull in, oh say around midnight or later, knock on 23, and say,"yo, this is matthewski. your in my room. if you get out in less than one minute, ill give you a free room and your money back and all my food. " usually the door flys open and sleeping bags are thrown out about the hall and i give them money and keys to another rm and their exstatic.

Cool, I'll ask for that one next time I'm there. I'd like a steak sandwich and a Yuegling.

Be careful to spell stake right when you order a sandwich with a Yuengling.

Isn't Yuegling what they do in the Swiss Alps?

Since Yuengling isn't a name everyone knows how to spell, I thought I spell it correctly for those who don't know.

I love Yuengling, but due to some sort of distribution issues, I have to go over the border into NY state to buy it. Fortunately, that's only the next town over.

I haven't seen the article yet but I know Jennifer Pharr-Davis did a good job with my interview and I have seen some of the photos from the photo shoot at sunset atop Max Patch.

I was supposed to be on the cover (as other BRO "Outdoor Persons of the Year" have been), but the publisher replaced me with a woman wearing a shirt with Subaru written across it. If I knew that was going to happen, I would have worn my bikini and driven my wife's Subaru to top of Max Patch and laid across the hood in all my near-naked alpenglow splendor.

Hahahahaha! Now that would be something to see.

Seriously, though, if you ever do this, make sure there's a photographer involved.

Wouldn't you just keep sliding off or is that part of the fun?
