Good Luck everyone!!! This time next year you will be on the trail...

See you on the trail (next year),

Approach Trail - No, but I intend to register at Amicaloa Falls and check into a cabin early in the day! While at Amicaloa Falls the day before I head-out, I want to just walk the area a bit, soak in the sounds/smells and get my "Yin and Yang" in check! I've run many scenarios in my mind what the night before is going to be like. The scenarios always point to very little sleep and a dose of anxiety!! Looking forward to the challenge though!!

    First time on the AT.
We should stay in touch. I'm still toying with doing a SOBO rather than a Flip Flop.

Traceless is no longer my trail name- I'm ShelterLeopard now (the post above me), and have changed accounts. So I'm still NoBo 2010, just under the name Shelter Leopard instead.

    Trail Name: TV
    Direction: northbound
    Estimated Start Date: mid March
Approach Trail - yes or no: not sure

Hiking solo but wouldn't mind partnering up with one or two people who want to start out fairly slow (8-10 miles first few days.)

also planning on shooting the trip for a documentary.

That is my plan to do 8-10 mile days for the first week or two so that my body works into the groove.

This is pretty close to my plan too- I'm starting late february so I can take the first couple weeks slow and easy and get back into the hiking groove- I'm also looking to hike with a partner or two for the first couple weeks, just to get me going. (Who knows? Maybe I'll really end up liking hiking with a partner- I've only ever hiked solo or in groups of 8-10 before)
