Has the big group of north bounders started moving into Damascus yet?

I saw five in two hours while doing trail maintenance on pond mountain last Saturday.

I think most are between Fontana and Hot Springs. Curtis is having about 20 hikers a day and had a full house this weekend according to reports on various trailjournals.

We had thirty in one day at a magic in Burningtown Gap, this past Saturday. They should all be in the Smokys by now.

It was communicated to me in no uncertain terms that there are no large groups or "bubbles" hiking up the trail, by a universally acknowledged authority of the AT.

    Has someone misdirected me?

Pretty good sized group at Standing Bear today also. Lots of magic in the area this weekend with a throwdown at the Farm til Monday. Anyone needing a ride south can hit us up if need be. We will be heading back down south if anyone needs a ride from DC south.

Large group around Standing Bear. Id say 30 hikers are there tonight and a few walked out today. Nice weather is approaching so the trail is going to be pack here in NC and TN

    Hey Ron,

Did "Whup Whup" make it out of Franklin?
    OR did he go home?

I shuttled him & "Jigsaw" to your place from FS #42 for a shower.

This is Whup Whup reporting that I made it out of Franklin, back into Franklin b/c of the snow storm, and then out again. I'm now at Delaware Water Gap, but currently visiting some friends in NYC.
