    Default Sarver Shelter

Does anyone know how to get to the 1 mile yellow blazed trail that leads to Sarver Shelter? I hiked out that way a few years back and we ended at the shelter and then hiked down the yellow blazed trail to our ride. Going back out and want to start at the shelter, but don't know the roads. Let me know!

Take Craigs Creek Road to Caldwell fields named for the first student at Va Tech. http://tgaw.wordpress.com/2007/05/15...-nice-what-is/

Turn onto the mountain road (the only intersection there). Drive to the power line cut and park. Follow the power line on the slope side of the mountain until you arrive at the trail head. Hike straight up to the cabin runis, and futher up to the new shelter, and futher up to the AT. A nice steep hike.
