I deal with youth groups and every kid has a digital camera, cell phone, iPod, videocam, etc... and NONE of them EVER put their names on any of it. Serves 'em right if a finder can't get it back to the true owner.
Heck, just write your contact info on a piece of paper and take a photo of it and leave that in your camera, if you don't want a sticker or etching on the camera itself.
Anyway, here's wishing the rightful owner gets their camera back. I'd sure want mine back from an AT hike.

Since no one claimed the camera, Ron sent it to ATC's field office at Boiling Springs.

My hiking buddy accidentally lost my Nikon Coolpix digi camera near the Mohican Outdoor Center in June of 2007. I did not have it marked. I was devastated when it was lost.
I wish I could get it back!
I take that back. I could give a care less about the camera.... I wish I had those photos.
