Default I spotted BookWork at Fontana today. SoBo ThruHiker

So I shared the Fontana Hilton with a SoBo thruhiker named Bookworm(Mike) from Cincinnati. He left Maine July 1, and claims to finish before Christmas. He's not a WhiteBlaze member, as he didn't know of its existence until he was on the trail. But he said to say hey to all those he met along the trail.

Its actually Bookworm for the trail name and Mike for the real name. I first saw him up top on Katahdin. Good to see he is still trucking(although I had zero doubts about him finishing). He kept my dad entertained with good art and archetecture discussions.

I edited the post, its hard to type in low lighting. I meant Bookworm, and he did kinda mumble his real name. We had a great chat, he was two days ahead of his group, they took a zero day in Gatlinburg on Saturday.

Hiked with the Mikes from UC for a little while in Maine-we did the notch together.

    Was he solo?

He had a group with him, but they were 2 days behind. He was pushing to finish by Christmas by himself.

Hey superman! Congratualtions on finishing. Godzilla just finished this past weekend.

    It's Doc.

Bookworm is hiking with Mousetrap, Mr. Nice Guy, and Muffinman. They're planning on being done Dec. 16th. D-wreck, Bear Walker, and the Vermont Mafia will finish Dec. 15th.
