    Default How to question

Have looked through the Help Forum Topics and still need help. Say you have been reading the posts and someone posts info on subjects that you are interested in. Is there anyway to be notified when that person makes another post?

And while I'm here what is 'Wrap (XFLOAT) tags around selected text?

    Default Subscribing to a thread

Post to a thread and you will be subscribed to it. I believe instant email notification is the default setting, but I turned off notification long ago. It will drive you crazy if you are suscribed to many threads or even one active thread.

I don't believe it's possible to subscribe to just the posts of a particular individual if that was your desire.

You can also subscribe without posting. To subscribe to this thread, scroll up, click on Thread Tools in the menu just above post #1 and then click subscribe. If you want to see a list of your subscriptions, log on and click view subscriptions.

On the left, under the heading Your Control Panel, in the second group, Settings & Options, you will see edit options. It is there you will find under Messaging and Notifications your default thread mode to which I referred earlier which can be modified.

While it's not possible to subscribe to the posts of a particular member so far as I know, it's easy to see what someone's posted. Just click on a member's name. To see my posts, click on Shades of Gray above and Find all posts by Shades of Gray.

You could email yourself the link above or save it to your Favorites in Internet Explorer. Do what I just did and somehow save the link where you will be reminded to watch the posts in which you are interested. That may be as good as it gets.

Thanks, am trying the idea in your last post. Did notice an interesting thing though- when I go to find all posts your last post does not show up. Any thoughts?

Strike refresh. It may be the button with juxtaposed up and down arrows right of the url if you're running IE.

The link in post #3 doesn't work anymore. I've noticed it before with searches I've linked for others.

Each time a new search is done apparently a new search id is generated which expires at some point.

So, go to your contacts list or somewhere else where the member's name displays and proceede as instructed in #3.

Alternatively go here. The number in the url there may be a unique number associated with me. Find the number associated with the member whose posts you desire to watch and bookmark that link, click on it, the Statistics tab and then execute the search. More keystrokes, but it returns the information you're after.

Look at #5 again. I've been adding to it.
