    :banana My self-contained kitchen

I found the cable to connect my camera to the computer, so I can finally show off the cooking system I used on my hikes this summer. The components are:

    Heine pot
Jess Lid ( Lifesavers tin top)
Short Crystal Light drink mix tube w/ lid
    Starlyte stove
    Windscreen
    Measuring cup for alcohol
    Mini-bic

    All components unpacked

Stove, screen, cup and stove in tube

    Tube closed up

Lid on and locked in place

I can't think of a way to improve this system, the locking Jess Lid keeps everything together and the drink mix tube keeps the stove from contaminating the pot. Hope the pictures help!

Man, not much room for improvement there. I love my Starlyte. How'd yours hold out?

I still love my Starlyte. The only improvement I could think of was pouring in the fuel, and I think zelph has solved that with the new generation that is topped w/ ss mesh. One of these days I will remember to buy one of the Mk II Starlytes, but I'm in no hurry to replace my original.

I'll have to remember to post a weight total on the cook system, have to dig around and find my scale.

Edited to add: Just found the scale- whole system weighs 3.73oz!

    Default Mach II

That should be "Mach II Starlyte." BTW: it fits nicely into the Fancee Feast which also protects the top of the Starlyte. So, for not too much more weight, you've got another stove.
So, speaking of two: has your wife been camping with you at all lately or is she still upset about getting blinded by the tent pole?

Nice!!!! Very well thought out. Great use out of the Crystal Light tube.

The Jess Lid gets my vote for the Best Tip Of The Year. I love it, great idea.

Thanks for the good words about the StarLyte, glad It's meeting your needs and performing well.
