Carter Gap Shelter- Thru Hikers on 5/11/08

Stayed at Carter Gap shelter Sunday night 5/11/08 with the following thru hikers. Mighty Mouse, Ground Pounder, Gold Bond, Bootless and Be Still. The weather was quite bad with rain, wind gushes of 50 mph and a low temperature of 38 F. Typical Appalachian weather for this time of year.
Mighty Mouse and Be Still were headed to Franklin NC for a resupply and Ground Pounder, Gold Bond and Bootless were headed to Standing Indian Campground for a food drop. All were in great spirits and really enjoyed their company.
