Well climbs don't bother me, I did make it thru that section last week. The ones that seem to get me are the one's that start at wolf creek and virtually don't stop until like 5 miles later at Coosa Bald!!

Speaking of views, your opinion here. I am thinking of starting to try to sell some of my pictures. If I start it as a business, I could write off all my hiking expenses, gas to trailheads, etc. Think there is a market for mountain views in print? Or is that market like over saturated? Just a thought that entered my mid today when I was supposed to be working!!

That does it. I'm bringing a Blackberry.

The little itinerary you had a copy of, I printed that thing folded it up and put it in my shorts pocket. Ever 45 minutes or so, I'd pull it out. It has times of arrival at the landmarks, notes about the hike, etc. written all over it. I put it up, hoping it might be worth lots of money someday.
I remember doing that section once over July 4th weekend long ago. I wrote out a little cheat sheet to take along but it was soaked through with sweat by the time I climbed Rocky Mtn.

I'm nominating Bulldawg as the Master of the Itinerary for this hike. Can I get a second on that motion?

Good god, my wife and her "cleaning up". You would think that if I left a map laying somewhere, when I wanted it 4 months later, that is where it would be!!!!!!! I love her, but Jesus, sometimes I could, oh never mind!!!

    You'll get used to it.

Or you'll have a lot more time for hiking.

Good enough for me. Bulldawg, as Master of the Itinerary it's your duty to put the itinerary together for us.

BTW, Skids, I'm with you, ain't makin' no promises. The cool part is if we don't make it out on time we can blame Bulldawg! Ready made excuses rule!

Well, I will accept the duty, but it very well may involve me buying another set of NC maps. I will get the wife on the case tomorrow night. She probably knows where she put it. On the plus side, in all of my plundering through the house just now, I found a box of ammo I thought I had already shot up!!

This was done using my Appalachian Pages Guide book. Maybe will change after getting to see an elevation profile and official AT map.

Sell em on Ebay. Larry, TOW is trying to sell some of mine.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

Which day on the itinerary would you like to schedule that for? How long do you think it is going to take? Also, will the fight be brutal enough so as to slow down our progress??
