Default Appalachian hiker is 65 — but quite alive - Aspen Times

She said the idea for hiking the “A.P.” — as it is known among aficionados

Dang, the trail has been renamed. What's the "P" mean, I wonder?

So much for being a "hiker", "hiker trash", "backpacker" or whatever, you are now an "aficionado".

Appalachian hiker is 65 — but quite alive

And it's good to hear she is "quite alive". I hate seeing dead "aficionados" on the "A.P."

    Good for her!

She has proven yet again that one's age of more than just a few years does not always have to be "old".

Anyone else notice that 65 year olds seem to be getting younger every year?
