I fully support an individual's right to carry if that is what they choose. I am for concealed carry in general. That said, I do not even own a BB gun.

Did they hike together? Was it 2 one armed hikers or 2 hikers with only one arm? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've known a long-time hiker from WV who has a hook and has been to Trail Days a couple of times, who can do some amazing things. Very interesting guy.

actually IMO this is the most interesting of any of the firearms / hiking threads so far and certainly the most meaningful.

I can say from having observed quite a few...... Umm, quite a few....

And as long as they didn't keep me up with their giggling and raiding their bearbags at midnight for munchies, I didn't care one way or the other.

Even in the 500+ grouping there is 1 armed to 7.5 unarmed. I would be willing to be that that is a higher percentage than folks that carry vs folks that don't in the rest of society. I know you are trying to make a point, tearrapin but this is actually statistically interesting.

Hmm, never noticed any paint. Do they make stawberry flavored see-thru paint? Sometimes the windows have streaks of white on them. Is that leaded?

Can't envision many scenarios when carrying a gun would benefit one on the trail or keep them safe. However, every person is free to make their own decision. That's where EMS is....but, I don't buy anything there anymore...so I only go to get the wife a present or twelve at the mandatory times. Holidays, birthdays, etc.

Right now the total vote count is still less than 40 so nothing there is statistically significant, IMO. Besides, it would be difficult or impossible to generalize from the WB "voting" population to any other.
