Default Support for the family & friends of Meredith Emerson

Since the other thread was closed, and the only other current thread on this is supposed to be only for new information, I thought it might be appropriate to start a new thread that will be used only for those who want to send loving thoughts to the family and friends of Meredith Emerson.

My thoughts and prayers are with them. I hope everyone from Whiteblaze will chime in here and let them know we care.

Did it in the other thread anyway, but we all grieve with those of you who knew Meredith. I knew someone for whom a search had an unhappy ending 11 years ago, I can empathize with your pain.

My heart goes out to the family and friends, the SAR team and those who (I know the feeling of searching for someone where time is so crucial) spearheaded the effort to find both her and this butt hole and to all who feel a tremendous low right now.

prayers to those and towards bring this sorrowful event to closure. (finding her)

of couse the closure will never be comeplete for the family.
I hiked that ridge Pop told me not to that morning.
Each time out, I see that same ridge- only different.

My deepest sympathy to the Emerson family, her boyfriend, her roommate, her co-workers and friends and to the SAR and LEOs who have worked to find her. The hiking community is a family and we feel a sense of loss here as well.

Prayers for everyone saddened by this tragic loss.

She is one of our own, the hiking family out there is a strong community, and I trust at this difficult time we can be a strong support for family and friends of Meredith, in whatever way we can. Prayers, positivity, good vibes, whatever one can send in their own way.

My heart hurts over this whole thing, it's a beautiful area and will always have this scar from now on.

If anyone from the Emerson family or friends of her's reads this, I am so very sorry this has happened. It is terrible that such senseless acts of violence occur. May your hearts be comforted and you find the answers to your questions and closure and peace and forgiveness. I am so very sorry for your loss and pain and you are all in our prayers.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Meredith. She was a true hiker to head out on New Years Day. Spirit like that burns bright and strong. As you remember her life, we too shall honor her memory. We are all saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Despite our petty disagreements about trivial matters, the hiking community is a close knit one. We lost one of our own this week. Words can't sooth the pain. Only time heals. My thoughts and prayers to Meridith's loved ones. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by so many.

I continue to pray for a good outcome. This thread contains disturbing speculations. Unfortunatly they are most likely true.

It's difficult for me to express how I feel about this. From everything I've learned about Meredith we've missed out on meeting a truly fine person.
