Default Farsang Finished Today, well Yesterday!

Just summited Springer Dec 5th with parents (who summited Katahdin) Wife (Becky), and her mom (Sharon), on the trail since June 19th. What an unwordable journey. So here I sit, back at home in TN. Since I only walked 1.1 today I am wide awake, and what is up with all of this warmth in his house? It's going to be a long transition back to the "Real" world that I've grown away from. Any words of encouragement for this transition are greatly appreciated. I think I'll go sleep on the porch, it's snowing after all.

    Congrats on your hike!
You were just in the real world for the past 6 months. It's all the man made BS that you're trying to re-adjust to now. Good luck with that.

Congtrats FARSANG!! Rhodo and I met you up north somewhere, she'll remember better than me. We were happy to meet someone who was hiking in the direction towards sweet tea and other good southern things.

You'll transition fine. Just be patient, things will fall into place.

Congratulations. The first thru-hiker I met on the trail was a SOBO. Waldo, from the class of '03. Good luck with the readjustment.

    Default Woo-Hoo!!

    Congratulations, Farsang!!!!!!!!!

I am excited and so proud for you! Yeah, the transition thing can be hard. Keep the phone turned off for awhile and the heat turned down. Oh, and remember--you have to plan ahead to pee. (you can't just go anywhere now, ya' know!)

Maybe I'll see you again at Elmer's---don't forget to check out the SORUCK
(Jan 18, 19, 20--NOC) thread and bring your wife and Dad!

    Default Congratulations!!!!!

Now you can spend your free time here with some other thruhikers who understand. I hope to be able to do a thru when I retire.

(BTW: thruhikers aren't the only ones who sleep outside at home shhhhh. )
