Heres my trail dog Oliver. This was taken when he was still a youngster. He's 3 years old now and still hikes every trail I do.

Here's a photo of our 90 pound Shilo Shepherd on the AT this past summer.

Five year old rescue mutt, that I got this summer after getting off the trail. Completely untrained and kind of an idiot initially, so I named him Captain Kirk. He's actually fairly smart and is taking to training well. Has gained five needed pounds and his coat is a bit fluffier currently.
The plan was to finish my AT hike in two week sections with him. Turns out he has a shoulder issue and will be more of a half day hike kind of dog. Doesn't really limp when he's distracted and happy on the trail, but I don't want to screw his shoulder up further.

Here is our Retriever, Sansha. Very obedient companion she is right now, but looking back when she was still a pup, she was definitely a handful, so much that she was even hard to train (though with the help of a dogtra training collar, we were able to manage). She mostly enjoys the hunts at the field and playtime in our backyard, though she also enjoys our outdoor walks during my days off. Overall, she has been a great companion throughout these years.

My daughter is an avid hiker and my backpacking partner. This is her dog Holly, who loved hiking. We lost Holly a week ago....she is terribly missed!!
