I used to backpack a lot (Europe, Wind Rivers, Grand Canyon) but stopped when, somehow, making a living got in the way. I've dreamed of hiking the AT since I was 16 B.C. (that's, Before Cable - haha) and now that I'm retired, will make that dream come true. Hey, just look for the slow, wobbley guy with the ever-present grin on his face. Hope to see all of ya' out there!

About 15 March +- a week.
I certainly hope I'm not being premature, but if all goes as planned this will be Thru-hike take two. Take one was Y2K, Springer to Mt. Rogers, came off with a busted knee which has since been rebuilt.
