If your looking for seclusion and have been thinking about moving into the Hot Springs area, this place is very ideal for that. I have hung out on this farm from time to time when I was in that area............

Good grief, I thought my Hilleberg tent was expensive. I'll just stick with something that is mobile and paid for and comes with hundreds of thousands of acres. I don't mind the walk.

Yikes, I can buy over 100 acres of some very expensive Iowa farm land with a house on it for less than that...

675 grand for 20 acres and some raggedy-ass buildings is outrageous.

    184K.

Because that's what I have in equity.

I hope to get 5 or so acres and a nice house OUT of the city for that soon.

About $200,000.00 is a lot for this. There are a lot of hillbilles sitting on easy street because of just what you said. These people from big cities where the price is high and and buy this property you cant give to the locals and thinking what a bargin. They are scalded, feathers plucked and fried before they wake up and smell the roses.

If you don't like the price then don't buy it but damn quit your sniveling about it. Since they own the land they set the price, kind of how it works in America!

The whole area around Asheville has gotten very trendy in recent years, and people are starting to look at outlying areas, like Mars Hill, Marshall, and of course, Hot Springs. And a great many of the people shopping for real estate are well-to-do out of towners, in many cases looking for a second, or a vacation home. Is this lot over-priced? Beats me, I don't live down there and don't know much about land values in H.S. But something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and I hope Dan finds a buyer.

    Default Yeah right

My wife and I looked all over the Mars Hill, Marshall and Hot Springs area. Prices are ridiculous. Most of the sellers are sitting waiting for the rich Floridians to come.

We went over the mountain into Tennessee and bought in the Erwin area. Just 50 minutes away, same mountains, no state tax, lot more house and land for your money. And if not here, there's Hampton, Roan Mountain, Flag Pond, Damascus.

Don't get me wrong, I like Hot Springs a lot. If you just won the lottery and money means nothing to you, buy in.
