Very nice slide show. Looked like a great trip.

Somebody has to ask: Did he throw a ring into the log book slot of the Southern Terminus?

He is not the first. Tent pole finished in November before thanksgiving I think on the 13th. He started yhe 15 of June

I haven't been on the site for a little while, I come back and I'm in slide show, who knew? Seriously though, thanks that certainly brought back some memories. To the question of whether I was the first to finish, I have no idea. I started June 3 and finished on Sept. 30. 1st, 2nd, 222nd whatever, it was still an amazing trip. To the ring question, I did not have one. I did however have a red bouncy ball that I was intending to put up there. Unfortunately, I lost it somewhere in Virginia. If anyone found it, I hope it provided as much entertainment for you as it did for me.

I hiked Neil's gap to Springer in mid-November with two SOBO's - they indicated that a number of folks had finished before them.

so far the Hobbit's September 30 day holds up as the first, since that's before any date in November . . .
any other contenders? there weren't any in the registers before that date
