Not a lot of camp sites at that end of the Gorge, you literally have to camp on the trail in spots. We perfer to go down Conley Cove trail. Lots of great spots to camp and the river is great there. For a challenge do Pinch In trail!

Sandy Flats is closed and I am told it won't be reopened. They had a bad flood a couple of years ago and that trail washed out.

That's the only one that's closed in the Gorge.
Not a lot of space to camp anywhere at the North end of the gorge. You can make do but don't expect to have a lot of room. The further South you go the better.
I'm off to Damascus. Have a good trip and be sure to stop by the information office.

Forgot to mention that in case you don't know back country permits are required to camp there. You can get one at the information office. If they are out go anyway (did I mean away?). They don't check permits in the gorge. Just at trail heads.
