Default Price friendly, comfortable, capable backpack?

    Looking for pack that is

    *Approximate $100 to $150 range.

    *50+ to 70 literish

*transfers cushioned weight to hips well.

*Can carry close to 30- 35 lbs comfortably and maybe 45-50lbs not too shabbily.
(Would be in the 25lb range more often.

At least sleeping bag access more than top access.

    *Approximately less than 4lbs.
3.5 ish or lower is better.

Can carry larger bear cans well.

I believe for that price point you may find what your looking for on aliexpress. There is a guy vlogging his AT thru hike this year that set goals of doing his thru hike on a $1k budget, with <$1k of gear.
He is using the "3F" pack off aliexpress....looks like a ULA knockoff for like 60 bucks...he is over 500 miles into his hike and it has performed well, especially for 60 bucks

We are starting to see the gear from Chinese companies on the trail. I was just in a trail crew camp where someone had a "Naturehike" tent.

That would be Quadzilla. Last year he did a calendar triple crown.

But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute--and it's longer than any hour.
    That's relativity." --Albert Einstein--

Do you think a ULA knockoff can handle 45lbs fairly easy?
Didn’t think ULA’s could handle 25lbs with fair comfort ease but haven’t really looked at them, so I be assuming.

Will have to check out this quadzilla

I would say the ULA would definitely be topped out at 45lbs, 25lbs is more than acceptable....35lb limit comfortably? I have a ULA ive put about 1500 miles on and I always enjoyed it.

Frameless often max out around 25 lbs, and ULA has some of those, but their most popular modes have a stay (a minimal frame) that makes them effective up to 35 or 40 lbs. There are quite a few lightweight packs that have this design. So when the earlier post referred to ULA knockoff packs, I assumed they were probably had stays. If shopping for a lightweight pack, look for the ones wit stay frames vs a true frame less pack.

The REI Flash 55 has had some good reviews. If you catch a sale or have some points, it will put you in the right price range.
