Canadian Rockies no permits?

Looking for 140 mile or less trail in Canadian Rockies around Calgary for a moderate backpacking trip without permits that doesn't involve too much high elevation over passes etc. Will be driving from Bozeman. Any ideas for regions/trails or other listserves so appreciated!

Not sure what the low elevation gain trails are around the Rockies near Calgary, but there are some permit requirements depending where you go. AllTrails.com may provide some ideas for you based on your requirements and have information about difficulty, scenic appeal, camping, and directions for some hikes you may enjoy.

Thank you, still researching. Backcountry campsites in the national parks need to be booked way in advance (like January) though we did manage to book a short multiday on the Jonas Pass - Poboktan Creek trail in Jasper National Park. I was hoping for a 2 week trip outside of the parks so we could have a flexible itinerary but haven't found it yet. I did find a forum for the Canadian Rockies! https://forums.clubtread.com/
