This is one of the best weekend backpacking loops that no one knows exists. It uses two cross connectors of the Susquehannock Trail to form a 20ish mile loop. There are many beaver dams and ponds, meadows, creeks, meadow views, gorges, isolation, a beautiful shelter, some views, diverse forests. Lots of spring wildflowers too, and elk have been observed in the area. This loop has a lot of creeks for those who enjoy that scenery. This loop is part of an extensive trail system in the northern Susquehannock State Forest. This hike impressed me and I'll surely be back. Northcentral PA is a backpacking wonderland.
