Mid-PA weekend loop?

I'll be taking some first-time backpackers on a two-night weekend hike in a few weeks. A loop that includes the AT would be ideal, since the one young guy really wants to hike on the AT. Central PA. Only a few hours Friday, full day Saturday and half-day Sunday. Max for Saturday is probably 15 miles. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Pine grove furnace to toms run (southbound) and the loop back by way of sunset rocks (blue trail just south of toms run). You can park at pine grove and there is water along the trail and at toms run.

If you want longer start north of James fry and head there first.

Btw, this brings you by the ice cream challenge and at museum area, iron master hostel, the at halfway point, and camp michaux areas - one of the nicer areas on the pa at.

Do you know of some delicious and safe places to eat and drink in this camping area? My daughter often has stomachaches, so I wanted to find some easy-to-digest foods. Thank you and hope to get a response soon!
